The Wellness Center offers community education programs about a variety of health topics including nutrition and weight management, diabetes, CPR and first aid, and tobacco cessation. Other services include cholesterol screenings, corporate health programs, community health fairs, community health screenings, fitness and health risk assessments, and senior programs.
The Weight Loss Clinic
For the severely obese patient, traditional diet and exercise programs may have limited success. For these patients a physician directed program, including surgical interventions and/or medical management is a successful approach. more
Lean Lifestyle
Lean Lifestyle is a eight-week weight management program designed to promote safe and effective weight loss for people 18 years of age and older.
Fit Futures
Fit Futures takes a lifestyle approach to the issue of physical inactivity and the nutritional concerns of children and adolescents.
Taking Charge of Your Diabetes
This 10-hour group program recognized by the American Diabetes Association explains the essential information necessary to be in control of your diabetes.
Tobacco-Free Living
This seven session cessation program is appropriate for individuals who smoke cigarettes, pipes, and cigars or use smokeless tobacco products. The program includes:

- Relapse Prevention
CPR and First Aid Training
American Heart Association programs are available to teach the skills for adult, child and infant CPR, AED, obstructed airway management and basic first aid. CPR courses are also available for the health professional.
Babysitter’s Training Program
An American Red Cross program prepares students 11-14 years of age for child-care basics.
Senior Programs
The Early Bird Walkers Club is a group of individuals 55 years of age or older who meet each Monday morning for a 1 to 2-mile noncompetitive walk at various sites throughout the county.
Breakfast Club meets monthly at Ephrata Community Hospital for breakfast and a health-related presentation.
Healthy Moves is a safe and effective program of gentle exercise developed for seniors. The program is led by a Fitness Instructor and is designed to increase flexibility, strength and vitality.
