Almost one-third of all Americans have a sleep problem at some time in their lives. Once identified, these conditions can be successfully treated, allowing you to lead a healthy, normal life.
A state-of-the-art, outpatient medical facility, The Sleep Center specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of problems related to sleep. These problems may include snoring, sleep apnea, daytime sleepiness, insomnia and restless leg syndrome. Testing may include nighttime sleep studies, and in some cases, a daytime nap test.
Staff includes physicians board certified in Pulmonary, Sleep and Neurology, as well as Registered Polysomography Technologists who are qualified and experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with sleep disorders.
Pediatric Sleep Studies
In addition, the Sleep Center now offers services to diagnose and treat children with a variety of sleep problems that may include:
Abnormal breathing during sleep - loud snoring and intermittent gasps
Frequent awakenings and restlessness
Excessive daytime sleepiness
Frequent nightmares or vivid dreams
Difficulty falling asleep or waking
Behavioral issues such as crankiness or hyperactivity.
The Sleep Center is the only hospital-based, accredited sleep center in Lancaster County to offer pediatric services.
Evaluation and treatment at The Sleep Center is covered by most insurance plans. Because insurance coverage varies, we suggest that you contact your insurance representative to determine the extent of coverage.
