Visitor Information
Sharing the experience of new life is very important to you and everyone who wants to see the new baby. While we welcome visitors, we urge you to limit the number of visitors and the length of visits.
The father and birth partner may be with you and your baby at any time. Family members, especially grandparents and siblings, are also welcome to visit. While siblings may visit at any time, we ask that an adult accompany young children. Anyone holding the baby should thoroughly wash his or her hands first. All other visitors are welcome between noon and 8:00 PM.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Guidelines
Because your baby needs specialized care, strict visitation guidelines must be followed:
- The unit is locked at all times.
- Parents and grandparents may visit at any time, with some exceptions.
- Immunized siblings over age 4 are welcome to visit for 15 minutes from noon-8:00 PM.
- Family members and friends are encouraged to view babies through an observation window in the NICU between noon-8:00 PM. One person may visit with a parent in attendance.
