RN - Wound Care

Ephrata Community Hospital Occasional Wound Care 24 hrs/bi-weekly

The Wound Care Registered Nurse/WOC (RN) will work with the Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN) as a clinical resource and consultant for the acute and rehabilitative care of inpatients and outpatients with selected disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems,  such as complex draining wounds, ostomies, fistulae, dermal ulcers, tubes, and incontinence.   The RN will treat patients in The Center for Wound Healing with oversight provided by the CWOCN and an assigned Medical Director. Patients may be referred to the program by any physician and will be seen by appointment once a physician order has been received. Services include wound care, skin care, and ostomy concerns.

Current PA RN license or temporary permit. Valid PA driver's license. One year minimum clinical experience as a registered nurse. Exhibits flexibility, dependability, and self-motivation. Professional and neat appearance - lab coat. Ability to work independently. Good organizational skills. Ability to work within and across departmental boundaries. Works at a good, productive pace; starts at the scheduled starting, and works through the end of the shift with normal breaks. Requires working under stressful conditions.
